” I both coxed and rowed for TRC Juniors while I was in high school, and currently am a coxswain for the Yale Men’s Lightweight Crew Team. In reflection upon my time with TRC Juniors, one of the things that proved the most helpful is the extensive experience gained in various shells. Many recruits arrive at Yale never having rowed doubles, quads, or even singles and this sometimes proves difficult as Yale trains in many different boats. When being recruited, one of the most helpful things I possessed was my knowledge of both sculling and sweep rowing. TRC Juniors emphasizes differentiation of rowing in both coxes and rowers. My years with Tulsa rowing were invaluable and helped my transition to collegiate rowing immensely.”
